CP-421
ORGANIC ACID CLEANER
DESCALER |
|
DESCRIPTION
CP-421 is a phosphate-free liquid or ganic acid cleaner/descaler
formulated for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and medical
device in dustries. The synergistic blend of organic acids
effectively removes a wide range of process and research
residues, such as inorganic salts and scales, particulate
carbon and urine scales. This product is effective in
animal cage wash applications, laboratory glass ware washing
and pha maceutical/biotech process cleaning.
Low foaming CP-421 will not cavitate recirculation pumps.
CP-421 is extremely free rinsing to achieve a clean, residue
free surface and has excellent hard water toler ance to
eliminate mineral deposits. The enhanced surfactant system
improves cleaning and rinsing in low volume/high energy
recirculating spray and remains effec tive across a wide
temperature and pH range even during pH neutralization
prior to discharge, thus reducing redeposition of process
residues. When used as directed, CP-421 is safe for use
on both glassware and stainless steel substrates and a
wide variety of plastics including polycarbonate. |
DIRECTIONS
CP-421 is designed for use in immersion, pressure spray, and
recirculating spraywash applications and is ideal for pharmaceutical
glassware and parts washing machines and recirculating Clean-In-Place
(CIP) systems. Typical operating concentrations of CP-421 run
from 0.2% to 5% (v/v), and depend on temperatures, soil loads,
and cleaning methods used. Proper care and protective equipment
are required for manual cleaning-see the MSD sheet.
Biodecontamination Group Technical Service chemists and engineers
will help you establish an improved cleaning procedure for your
applications using CP-421. If re quired, our testing laboratory
can test your residue and screen various cleaner con centrations,
temperatures and exposure times to determine the optimum cleaning
conditions and also provide cleaning validation assistance.
Concentration Testing for CP-421- Several options exist for
the feed and concentra tion control
of CP-421, in cluding a standard acid/base titration, pH and
conductivity.
Residue Testing for CP-421- Stan dard analytical methods may
be used for determin ing absence of CP-421 on product contact
surfaces. Acidity titrations, chelant as says, specificion analysis,
conductivity, pH and Total Organic Carbon (TOC) are all viable
methods of analysis. Let us assist you in your choice of appropriate
methodology. |
